Description

Position Summary:
Performs radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, using independent judgment to produce quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety.

On-the-job training is provided to become CT proficient, typically completed within about six months, depending on individual progress.  Once you reach CT proficient wage will increase to $29.51

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients; assist to ensure clear imaging
  • Operate radiology equipment and select appropriate technical factors
  • Follow safety protocols and document patient information
  • Assist with special procedures and train Radiology students
  • Maintain clean work areas and restock supplies
  • Collaborate with staff to provide quality patient care

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
  • ARRT certification (or eligible; must obtain within 1 year)
  • 2+ years of experience preferred
  • BLS Certification required
  • Subspecialty training (e.g., DEXA) required before independent practice

Physical Demands:
Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting patients/equipment (up to 250 lbs. with assistance), along with strong communication skills.

This is a weekend position: Sat/Sun/Mon OR Fri/Sat/Sun
