Position: Registered Pharmacist - FT Overnight
Facility: White Plains Hospital
Location: 41 East Post Road, White Plains, NY
Schedule: Full Time
Shift: Overnight / Night Shift
Work Schedule: Alternate Work Schedule
Job Summary:
- Provide pharmaceutical services and indirect patient care under the direction of Pharmacy leadership.
- Review medication orders against patient medication profiles for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care.
- Apply medication safety practices and support the age-specific needs of patients.
- Participate in quality improvement, risk management, and infection control activities.
- Utilize effective clinical decision-making, resource utilization, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide oversight and direction to Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Transporters.
- Maintain professional accountability, required competencies, and applicable pharmacy licensure requirements.
- Support pharmacy operations while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and applicable standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
- Active New York State Pharmacist License required upon hire.
- Knowledge of medication delivery systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team and adapt to an alternate/overnight work schedule.
