About the Role:Align Integrated Care PLLC is looking for a compassionate and driven Registered Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team in Sandston, VA. Responsibilities:- Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals in substance use or mental health recovery programs
- Assist clients in developing individualized recovery plans and setting personal goals
- Connect clients with community resources, support groups, and social services
- Facilitate recovery-oriented group sessions and one-on-one peer coaching meetings
- Document client interactions, progress notes, and service activities in accordance with agency standards
- Advocate for clients' needs within the care team and broader community
- Model recovery principles and promote a culture of hope, empowerment, and wellness
Requirements:- Active Virginia Registered Peer Recovery Specialist (RPRS) certification required
- Personal lived experience with substance use or mental health recovery
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a non-judgmental approach
- Familiarity with community resources, recovery support services, and harm reduction principles
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building authentic peer relationships
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and electronic health records
- Reliable transportation and ability to work in the Sandston, VA area
