    Description:

    Purpose: provides specialized care for patients with urinary tract and reproductive system conditions. Core duties include patient assessment, telephone triage, assisting with minor office procedures, managing urinary catheters, and educating patients on chronic or post-surgical care.

    What you will do:

    • Conduct physical assessments and record detailed patient medical histories.
    • Assist urologists during office-based diagnostic exams and minor procedures like cystoscopies or urodynamic studies.
    • Insert, irrigate, and troubleshoot urinary catheters (Foley, suprapubic, or intermittent).
    • Perform clinical triage by evaluating patient symptoms over the phone and coordinating urgent care.
    • Educate patients on bladder retraining, pelvic floor exercises, self-catheterization, and prescribed medications.
    • Document all care accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems. (EPIC)

    Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an ADN or BSN degree
    • One to two years of general nursing experience, with previous ambulatory care or urology background preferred.
    • Strong communication skills to handle sensitive and personal health topics with empathy.

    Licensure/Certification:

    • FL RN license
    • BLS from AHA
