Job Requirements

• Education Requirements: Valid RN license.
• Certifications Requirements: State licensure for RN.
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in School setting preferred or with pediatrics 
• • Human Trafficking Training
  • Child Abuse and Neglect Training
  • Valid CPR and AED Certification from an IDOE approved provider
  • Suicide prevention training certificate.

Job Responsibilities:

-Supervise the school health services program in the following areas
•Daily operations
• Maintaining and administering first aid and emergency procedures
• Implementation of mandated immunization requirements and screening programs
•Dispensing prescription and OTC medications
• Providing care/assistance to students
• Creating and maintaining health records on all students
•Promote and maintain positive relationships with all students, parents, and staff
• Attending required training sessions and staff meetings
• Participation in school committees (i.e.: wellness, crisis team)
• Handling clerical functions/reports in a timely manner
• Professional communicate
