POSITION: Registered Nurse (RN)
Status: Non‑Exempt
Department: Clinical Support Staff
Schedule: Day shift + rotating on-call
Location: Unalaska, AK (Relocation Required)
ROLE SUMMARY
Provide professional nursing care to patients of all ages, including after‑hours urgent and emergent needs. Work independently, think critically, and deliver excellent customer service in a rural medical setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess, triage, and care for patients across the lifespan
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications & therapeutic measures
- Assist with emergency/urgent care procedures
- Maintain aseptic technique and safe environments
- Perform dispensary duties
- Document all nursing interventions accurately
- Participate in trainings, meetings & community events
- Support clinic operations (cleaning, stocking, equipment care)
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Strong clinical assessment & triage skills
- Ability to respond to urgent and after‑hours calls
- Knowledge of medications, medical equipment & care procedures
- Excellent communication & teamwork abilities
- Ability to obtain IV/IO access
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
- Alaska RN License (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- BLS- Required
- ACLS, PALS & TNCC- Required within 6 months of hire
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Accredited Nursing Program (BSN, Diploma, or ADN)
- 2 Year nursing experience- Required
- ER/Critical Care- Preferred
