Registered Nurse - Travel - Cardiac Milwaukee, WI - 13 weeks

Job Requirements
Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an ADN with equivalent clinical experience

Certifications Requirements:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience, with at least 1 year in a CVICU
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Proven competency in invasive line monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation

Other Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Wisconsin or multi-state nursing license
  • Ability to work the night shift (1900-0700)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to float to other ICU units and cover various patient types

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced cardiac and critical care to ICU patients, including those post-CABG, TAVR/TMVR, and heart transplantation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor and interpret invasive lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and cardiac rhythms accurately
  • Document patient progress, interventions, and response to treatments in EMR (Epic) efficiently
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring adherence to safety and hospital protocols
