Nashua Center of Nashua, NH is looking to for a Part-Time Nurse Trainer to provide support, direction, guidance, and quality assurance to employees and in home care providers who are supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This position will be responsible for helping to ensure the health and safety of clients who are served by Nashua Center. (approximately 40 hours per month with potential for more)Required QualificationsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in New HampshireMinimum 2 years of nursing experience within the last 5 yearsAt least 1 year of experience as an RNExperience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferredEligible to serve as a Nurse Trainer under New Hampshire regulationsNot under disciplinary action pursuant to RSA 326-B:37, IIICompletion of the required 6-hour New Hampshire Nurse Trainer orientation programKEY RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:This position will report to the Nurse Trainer Manager and will be assigned a caseload of clients to monitor for health and safety.Training & EducationTrain and support employees and contractors on:Medication administrationHealthcare coordinationDiagnoses and treatmentsHealth and safety practicesProvide both in-person and virtual trainingMedication ManagementComplete medication administration authorizations and reauthorizationsConduct medication occurrence reporting and follow-upComplete biannual He-M 1201 Medication Occurrence ReportsSupport medication self-administration programsQuality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure compliance with He-M 1201 Healthcare Coordination and Medication Administration regulationsConduct quality assurance visits to certified community residencesComplete required Nurse Trainer documentation within state-mandated timeframesPerform medical quality assurance reviewsClient Health MonitoringMaintain an assigned caseloadConduct required 5-day and 30-day nurse visitsMonitor client health and safety needsAdministrative DutiesUtilize Microsoft Office 365 for documentation, filing, and communicationProvide on-call coverage for the Nurse Trainer Manager as neededPerform other assigned dutiesThis position will be a hybrid of remote and in-person responsibilities with a great deal of flexibility in work schedule.Must be people-oriented and interested in working with teams to ensure quality supports and communication.Must be willing to drive a 30 mile radius to support the caseloadWill need to undergo a criminal background check, a driving record check and DCYF check.
