Job Accountabilities

• Assessment and Planning of Patient Care:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient and family assessments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Streamline patient workflow and improve outcomes.
  • Communicate care plans effectively across shifts and departments.
• Provision of Patient Care:
  • Deliver competent, compassionate, and cost-effective care.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Delegate tasks based on guidelines and competencies.
  • Communicate treatments clearly to patients and families.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and regulations.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and PHI.
  • Stay updated on acute care advancements.
• Evaluation of Patient Care:
  • Monitor and assess patient care interventions and outcomes.
  • Conduct ongoing patient and family education.
  • Document patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Report safety concerns and participate in safety events.
  • Support new staff and mentor as a clinical resource.

Education and Certification

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN-Registered Nurse of California.
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
• ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• NIHSS-National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale.

Experience

• 2 years of recent relevant experience.
• 2 years RN experience in MedSurg/Telemetry.
• Previous EPIC experience required.

• Knowledge of nursing theories, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Understanding of healthcare industry standards and regulations.
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
