What Youll Do
- Provide expert nursing care to patients in a Medical, Surgical, Telemetry, and Cardiology setting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and support non-titrating cardiac medications such as Dobutamine, Cardizem, and Heparin
- Follow protocols for patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, RT, PT, OT, and specialists
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, respond to emergencies efficiently
- Support on-unit activities including phlebotomy and IV therapy as needed
- Contribute to a team-oriented, traveler-friendly environment
What You Need
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or compact license
- 2+ years of recent Med Telemetry experience in an acute care setting
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Ability to pass a comprehensive EKG competency exam prior to start
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills and proficiency with IV and central line care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
