JOB TITLE:Registered Nurse POSITION SUMMARY: TheMedical Telemetry Registered Nurse provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult medical and telemetry patients in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. The RNutilizesprofessional nursing judgment, telemetry monitoring skills, and interdisciplinary collaboration to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care across varying levels of acuity. This role works closely with the Emergency Department and offers leadership growth opportunities, including Charge Nurse and progression to House Supervisor responsibilities, based on competency and organizational needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Build Trust: Weexhibitintegrity,transparencyand compassion in every interaction. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care whilemaintainingdignity, respect, and confidentiality Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, discharge planning, and disease-specific care Maintainaccurateandtimelydocumentation of patient care in the electronic medical record Ensure safe handling, administration, and reconciliation of medications, including controlled substances Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and care team members Obsess Over Excellence: We havehigh standardsand seek continuous improvement. Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical, telemetry, and swing bed patients following established standards Perform ongoing patient assessments, including cardiac rhythm interpretation, andinitiatetimelyinterventions Administer medications and treatmentsin accordance withprovider orders and safety protocols Prepare patients and equipment for diagnostic testing andassistproviders as needed Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and competency development Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and emergency preparedness protocols Lead Innovation: We lead with creativity, agility andthinkbold in our approach. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including providers, case management, ED staff, CNAs, and ancillary departments Coordinate safe admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring continuity of care Serve as a role model, mentor, and clinical resource for peers,new staff, and orientees Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members to promote teamwork and patient safety Foster a culture of accountability, respect, psychological safety, and collaboration Build strong working relationships across departments to enhance patient care delivery QUALIFICATIONS: Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required Licensure: Current, active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Specialty Certification: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and telemetry competency preferred or obtained within90 daysof hire Required Experience: Experience in hospital-based nursing care Ability to manage multiple patients with varying acuity levels in a fast-paced environment SKILLS: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities Proficiencyin telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Comfort working independently, particularly during night shifts Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to guide and support team members Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions in high-stress or emergency situations Proficiencywith electronic medical records (EMR) systems Commitment to patient-centered care and professional nursing practice WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office and clinical settings with potential exposure to patient care areas. Flexibility to work extended hours as needed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. Mayrequireoccasional travel between facility locations.
