What Youll Do
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill adult ICU patients, including surgical, cardiac, and neuro diagnoses
- Manage ventilators, assist with intubation/extubation, and monitor ICU equipment such as CVL, art lines, and EVD drains
- Administer and titrate IV medications and vasoactive drips
- Support patient assessments, including neurological exams and stroke evaluations
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RT, phlebotomists, and hospitalists
- Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR
- Float between ICU, PCU, and MedSurg units as needed
- Comply with hospital policies, including passing an EKG competency exam
What You Need
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligibility to practice in Louisiana
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, with stroke and ventilator management preferred
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Strong clinical skills in critical care procedures and patient assessment
- Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to start
