    Registered Nurse (RN) Trauma Step-Down / PCU | Bradenton, FL

    Full-Time | Days & Nights, Rotating Weekends
    Pay Range: $30.76 to $41.50/hr (based on experience)
    Shift Differentials: $4.75/hr Nights | $3.00/hr Weekends | $2.00/hr National Certification
    Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Days) | $15,000 (Nights)
    Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 with HR approval

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to trauma and step-down patients.

    • Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs and adjust as clinically indicated.

    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.

    • Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and document per policy.

    • Utilize advanced critical thinking to identify and respond to emergent situations.

    • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery, and follow-up care.

    • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state/federal regulations.

    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license.

    • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS AHA or Red Cross) certification.

    • Minimum 1 year of RN experience (acute care preferred; LTACH, home health, or rehab considered).

    • Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.

    • Must live within a 30 to 35 mile commuting distance of Bradenton, FL.

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within 6 months of hire).

    • National certification in critical care or progressive care nursing.

    • Previous experience in trauma, PCU, or ICU settings.
