Pay range for this position is $37.22 - $48.42/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY: The RN Surgery Scheduler combines the administrative duties of a surgery scheduler with the clinical expertise of a registered nurse allowing for more comprehensive care and support to patients and medical staff. The RN Surgery Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures and is a vital position that helps ensure the smooth operation of surgical services and the best possible care for patients that is appropriate to the ages of patients served.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Licensure/ Certification: IL Reg Nurse License

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure by being proficient in typing, having excellent computer knowledge using multiple computer systems concurrently. Professional phone skills and etiquette as well as strong background knowledge of medical terminology is required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Experience: Experience within an OR setting or scheduling procedures.
