    Registered Nurse (RN)

    EKG STRESS LAB

    Miami Valley Hospital

    PRN / 7A - 3:30P

    MUST have 2-3 years of Telemetry experience

    The noninvasive RN is responsible for the clinical nursing care of patients undergoing diagnostic testing in the Department of Cardiology including EKG/Stress testing and Echocardiography studies. This shall include the pre-procedure patient preparation, administration of medication, nursing assessment and assistance of the cardiologist in the performance of noninvasive cardiac procedures.

    Education: Graduation from accredited school of nursing; BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire. Proof of enrollment required within 6 months of hire. RNs with min. 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU which must be obtained with 3 years of hire.

    Licensure: A current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio.

    Certification: AHA BLS certification required with ACLS certification preferred.

    Experience: One-to-three year's previous nursing experience in a cardiology-related health care environment required. Extensive knowledge of Cardiology including EKG rhythms required.

    Skills/Other: Registered Nurse must be, organized, efficient in performing work responsibilities have precise documentation and communication skills.

    Incumbent must be able to work in a highly stressful and fast paced environment and have outstanding customer relation skills.

    Able to stand /walk for extended periods of time, to be without uncorrectable

    hearing, visual impairments and able to lift and /or move patients.

    A team player who can work under direct supervision and in collaboration with

    others.
