RN Staff Team Leader - Operating Room- Evening Shift Part Time

Job Description:

Beverly Hospital, located in Beverly Massachusetts is part of the Lahey Health System. Beverly Hospital is a community hospital and consists of 10 operating rooms at the main campus and 4 operating rooms at the Lahey Outpatient Surgery Center located in Danvers, MA. We provide a wide range of specialties including; orthopedics, GYN, general, vascular, thoracic, spine, pediatrics, cysto, and ENT.

The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe patient care for patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures. In this role, you will assume responsibility for the care of the periOp patient including assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care during the periOp phase of care.

You will be responsible for directing and supervising ancillary staff meet members in providing the appropriate level of care in the most safe and efficient manner.

In addition to his/her Registered Professional Nurse responsibilities, the Resource Nurse for Specialty Service(s) will be a clinical expert resource, responsible for orientation and education of staff members to all phases of the specialty area including patient procedures and use and maintenance of all special equipment, also they will coordinate and participate in total intraoperative care for patients within surgical specialty. He/she also is responsible for coordinating equipment/ instrumentation/supply needs of the surgical specialty through collaborative efforts with other members of the health care team (i.e. Nurse Manager, Scheduling, Anesthesia, Surgeons, Purchasing Department, CSR, etc.).

Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred

Licensure, Certification, Registration: Current MA RN license, BLS required, CNOR preferred

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Strong communication skills and exceptional patient relation and customer service skills are critical.

Experience:

At least two-three years of work as an operating room nurse required. Must have demonstrated clinical competency in the appropriate nursing practice. Evidence of this includes: effective communication, ability to problem solve, ability to get along well with others, strong knowledge base for specialty service, and strong passion for nursing practice and drive to delivering the highest quality patient care.

Pay Range:

$37.00 - $84.71

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
