What you'll do:Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV linesRecord time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment recordEnsure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and proceduresNotify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a trereatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactionsKeeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly/disposing Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as requiredPractice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and proceduresWhat we offer:Competitive hourly pay based on experience Professional liability insuranceFlexible scheduleOn the job training/mentoring as neededContinuing educationWhat we're looking for:Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employmentMust be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English languageFull range of body motion including handling and lifting patientsAbility to stand for long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbsMust be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully metExperience in long term geriatric nursing care preferredWhy us:Our Registered Nurses care for a geriatric population that depends on consistent, knowledgeable, and compassionate care.
