Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Behavioral Health

A New York City-based nonprofit services organization is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their outpatient behavioral health clinic in the Bronx.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Hours:9am to 5pm
• Setting: Outpatient clinic

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to clients in accordance with agency policies and standards of nursing practice
• Administer injections, medications, and other prescribed treatments as needed
• Perform brief medical assessments, nursing intakes, and medical history reviews
• Draw blood, obtain specimens, and monitor clients' vital signs and lab values
• Document assessments, interventions, medications, and follow-up care accurately in the medical record

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of Nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Active New York State RN licensure
• BLS certification
• Experience working with clients with substance use disorder and/or serious mental illness
• Ability to perform injections, blood draws, and brief medical assessments
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems
• Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Knowledge of Crisis Management techniques
• Familiarity with Substance Use Treatment program regulations
• Experience serving diverse patient populations
