Position Overview
A healthcare organization in Northern New Mexico is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Operating Room team as an OR Circulator. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient-centered nursing care throughout the perioperative process while ensuring patient safety, quality outcomes, and effective communication among the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care utilizing the nursing process and established clinical standards.
- Administer medications, treatments, and patient interventions as appropriate.
- Monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes in condition.
- Prioritize patient care needs and respond effectively to urgent situations.
- Coordinate care with physicians, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support patient transfers, admissions, and discharges as needed.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and care plans.
- Advocate for patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Promote a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Schedule- Full-Time Days
- Rotating weekends
- On-call responsibilities
- Holiday coverage as needed
- Scheduling flexibility may be required
Required Qualifications- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- PALS certification required within 3 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications- Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in perioperative or surgical services
