    Description

    A Registered Nurse – Open Heart (CVOR RN) opportunity is available in Kissimmee, FL at a 404-bed tertiary care hospital and Level II Trauma Center. The facility is Joint Commission accredited, operates a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Heart & Vascular Institute, and functions as a teaching hospital in collaboration with a college of medicine.

    The role. In this position, you will provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing open heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures within the cardiac operating room. You will apply specialized knowledge of cardiac anatomy, surgical instrumentation, and hemodynamic monitoring throughout the intraoperative phase of care. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the broader surgical team to anticipate needs, manage equipment, and maintain a safe procedural environment. The role carries on-call responsibility approximately once per week and one weekend per month, with the understanding that department needs may require adjustments.

    What we're looking for.

    • 1 year of Open Heart (CVOR) RN experience in an Acute Care environment Required
    • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
    • BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA Healthcare provider) required
    • BSN preferred
    • CNOR preferred

    Schedule. Days, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., with on-call coverage approximately once per week and one weekend per month, subject to change based on department needs.

    Compensation. $31.84 - $46.26/hr
