    Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology – Safety Harbor, FL

     

    A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for oncology patients in an acute care setting. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting patients and families throughout the treatment journey.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for oncology patients

    • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and established standards of care

    • Monitor patient conditions and promptly identify and report changes in status

    • Coordinate care and delegate appropriate patient care activities to other healthcare team members

    • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions

    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes

    • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe and effective patient care

    • Apply evidence-based nursing practices to support clinical excellence and positive patient outcomes

    • Maintain professional accountability and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives

    • Promote a compassionate, safe, and patient-centered care environment

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if required by the department

    • Minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse

    • Previous oncology nursing experience preferred

    • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
