Position Summary: The Oncology Registered Nurse provides compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This role supports patients through assessments, medication administration, monitoring, and coordinated care as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Shift: 0.6 FTE, Night Shift
Employment Type: Full-Time with full benefits package
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care to oncology patients during the night shift.
Perform ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Administer chemotherapy, medications, and IV therapies safely in accordance with established protocols.
Monitor patient conditions, document progress, and report changes promptly.
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
Maintain safety standards, infection control, and accurate patient records.
Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Active Washington Registered Nurse (RN) License at the time of hire.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
