Title
MS/Tele Float Pool Nurse
Schedule
3 x 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
- Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:4-1:5
- Travel assignment experience required
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Clinical skills: IV starts & peripheral line care, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, starting/maintaining IVs
- Preferred skills: ACLS, PICC management, trach care
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in medical-surgical/telemetry settings for adult and geriatric populations.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to detect abnormalities and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and maintain accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV, respiratory, and pharmacy services, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Float to equivalent or lower acuity units as needed within the facility.
Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; some weekends/holidays required
- Strict compliance deadline for submission by Tuesday prior to start
- Candidates must complete fingerprinting immediately after signing the contract
- References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager/director
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required; Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
