Freedom Detox, a Pyramid Healthcare program, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team in Gastonia, North Carolina.

In this role, you'll provide direct nursing care to adults receiving treatment for substance use disorders in a medically monitored detoxification setting. You'll work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, evidence-based care while helping individuals begin their recovery journey.

Essential Responsibilities

As a member of our nursing team, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for new admissions
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Monitor clients throughout the detoxification process and follow established withdrawal management protocols
• Complete and document COWS and CIWA assessments as clinically indicated
• Educate clients regarding medications, treatment plans, and recovery support
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical providers
• Schedule and facilitate medical assessments and medication management appointments
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment to ensure proper operation and safety
• Complete required training, continuing education, and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Support a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education, Licensure & Experience

Registered Nurse (RN)

• Current, active, unrestricted RN license in North Carolina

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Current, active, unrestricted LPN license in North Carolina

Required for All Candidates

• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Current First Aid certification
• Experience in behavioral health, detoxification, addiction treatment, or substance use disorder services preferred

• Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective during crisis situations
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and patient safety practices
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
• Commitment to professionalism, ethical practice, and compassionate patient care
