A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Ambulatory Operating Room team on a PRN basis. This role is ideal for an experienced perioperative nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in an outpatient surgical setting.
Provide direct nursing care to ambulatory surgery patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards
Circulate for surgical procedures and support safe, efficient operating room workflows
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the healthcare team
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to established policies and procedures
Perform preceptor and charge nurse responsibilities as assigned
Float to support Pre-Op and PACU areas as needed
Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous development
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification if required by the department
Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum of one year of acute care or interventional/procedural nursing experience required
At least two years of RN experience preferred
Minimum of one year of Surgery or Ambulatory Surgery experience strongly preferred
Pre-Op and PACU experience preferred
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
