    Registered Nurse (RN)  – Largo, FL

     

    A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Ambulatory Operating Room team on a PRN basis. This role is ideal for an experienced perioperative nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in an outpatient surgical setting.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide direct nursing care to ambulatory surgery patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards

    • Circulate for surgical procedures and support safe, efficient operating room workflows

    • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

    • Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the healthcare team

    • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

    • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to established policies and procedures

    • Perform preceptor and charge nurse responsibilities as assigned

    • Float to support Pre-Op and PACU areas as needed

    • Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous development

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification if required by the department

    • Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

    • Minimum of one year of acute care or interventional/procedural nursing experience required

    • At least two years of RN experience preferred

    • Minimum of one year of Surgery or Ambulatory Surgery experience strongly preferred

    • Pre-Op and PACU experience preferred

    • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
