Shift Details:
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 12-Hour Shifts
The Registered Nurse (RN) – L&D is responsible for providing comprehensive maternal and newborn care in a small, all-in-one unit.
This role includes managing Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Mother/Baby care, requiring a highly versatile and adaptable nursing professional.
Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 1–2+ years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery
• Active Texas RN License (Required prior to start)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP Certifications (Required)
• Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn care
• Ability to manage multiple roles within L&D unit
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in rural or critical access hospital settings
• Familiarity with OBEX and CPSI / TruBridge EMR systems
• Strong patient care and communication skills
Work Environment
• Small, multi-functional L&D Unit
• Onsite role in Brownfield, TX
• Approx. 12–14 births per month
• Covers Antepartum, L&D, Nursery, and Mother/Baby
Additional Requirements
• Must be comfortable floating to Med Surg when no L&D patients
• Flexible and adaptable to low-volume, multi-role environment
• Preferred scrubs: Pink (not mandatory)
• Must comply with all clinical and regulatory standards
