Description

A health services network in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team in Manhattan.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

  • Hours: Standard business; 40 hours per week with one possible later evening per week

  • Setting: Outpatient clinic

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards

  • Support care team operations by coordinating daily huddles, managing schedules, and helping oversee delegated tasks

  • Assist with patient flow activities such as rooming patients, taking vital signs, reviewing medication lists, and performing point-of-care testing

  • Monitor patient charts, follow up on missing labs or open orders, and manage clinical communications in a timely manner

  • Collaborate with physicians and care team members to triage urgent requests, coordinate care plans, and support patient education and follow-up

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Current, unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse license

  • Basic Life Support certification

  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations, practices, medical charting, and patient safety standards

  • Ability to work independently within scope of practice, make appropriate clinical decisions, and delegate effectively

  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing

  • Master of Science in Nursing

  • Experience with electronic medical records

  • Experience with Epic

  • Experience in an internal medicine or ambulatory specialty setting
