Description
A healthcare organization in New York City is looking to add a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Manhattan.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 3pm
- Setting: School-based
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and health monitoring for students with developmental disabilities in a school setting
- Administer medications, manage medication storage, and maintain accurate medical documentation
- Support g-tube feeding and other daily medical needs for students requiring ongoing care
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary staff, school leadership, and families regarding health services and care plans
- Deliver first aid, respond to illness or injury, and support infection control and staff health training
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license and current registration
- Experience working in a School setting
- Experience with G-tube feeding
- Strong oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting Pediatric populations
- Familiarity with adaptive equipment and mobility devices
