A health services organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to support individuals with developmental disabilities across a group home and apartment-based program.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7am to 6pm (7-8 hour shifts)
- Setting: Residential Facility / Group Home
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and follow through on health care services for assigned residential programs
- Complete nursing assessments, medical documentation, and follow-up on doctor's orders and medical recommendations
- Support medication administration processes, including medication reviews, MAR checks, and supervision of certified staff
- Provide clinical oversight across multiple program sites and conduct weekly visits as needed
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, staff training, and emergency or on-call triage as required
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to work across various program sites throughout Brooklyn.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in OPWDD-regulated settings
- Background in long-term care or other community-based health settings
- Familiarity with adaptive equipment, infection control, and resident health record management
- Prior experience training staff in medication administration, first aid, or hygiene practices
