Responsibilities/Job Description:

 Fairview is looking for a Registered Nurse on the Critical Care Float team at Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN.

 

Schedule: This role is a .75 FTE (60 hours) per pay period, 12-hour night shifts, with every third weekend rotation. Variable schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policies, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

  • Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
  • Involves the patient, family and other health team members in gathering data.
  • Uses an ongoing, systematic process to gather relevant information (biological, psychological, spiritual and social aspects) from patient and family.
  • Analyzes data and information to identify potential risks, prioritize needs and determine priority problems.
  • Identifies & documents outcomes that are age appropriate, culturally appropriate, realistic and attainable.
  • Develops an individualized nursing plan of care.
  • Prioritizes & implements interventions based on patient acuity, available resources, and patient/family preferences and needs.
  • Collaborates, consults, or makes referrals if unable to perform safely and independently.
  • Anticipates, recognizes and responds to emergent situations.
  • Promotes a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP) & presents EBP findings to peers
  • Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
  • 1-year critical care experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • 1 year of RN experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Assoc). Some positions may require ACLS depending on the unit and patient population.
  • CCRN certification or CEN certification and/or advanced trauma nursing (ATCN)
Qualifications:

$42.93- $71.46 Hourly
