Description

A healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in the Bronx, providing nursing care in a residential facility serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday

  • Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • Setting: Residential facility

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first aid and respond to emergency health needs of individuals served

  • Administer medications and supervise staff in safe medication administration and storage

  • Prepare and maintain accurate medical documentation and participate in individual case reviews

  • Support and train less experienced nursing staff and Licensed Practical Nurses as needed

  • Attend team meetings, in-service sessions, and travel between Bronx program sites as required

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in community-based health services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse license and registration

  • Current CPR certification

  • Working knowledge of equipment commonly used by individuals receiving services, including wheelchairs and adaptive devices

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in a residential care setting
