    Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse – Winter Haven, FL

     

    A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse to join its Cardiac Surgical Unit. This role is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care while leading and supporting nursing staff in a fast-paced acute care environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide direct nursing care to patients within the cardiac surgical unit using the nursing process and established clinical standards

    • Coordinate and oversee daily patient care activities and unit operations

    • Serve as a clinical resource and professional role model for nursing team members

    • Promote safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care practices

    • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care

    • Delegate appropriate patient care activities and monitor quality of care delivery

    • Assist with staff development, education, and onboarding initiatives

    • Perform preceptor and charge nurse responsibilities as assigned

    • Support communication and information sharing among team members

    • Demonstrate leadership, professional accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

    • Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting

    • Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred

    • Nursing specialty certification preferred

    • Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
