A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse to join its Cardiac Surgical Unit. This role is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care while leading and supporting nursing staff in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Provide direct nursing care to patients within the cardiac surgical unit using the nursing process and established clinical standards
Coordinate and oversee daily patient care activities and unit operations
Serve as a clinical resource and professional role model for nursing team members
Promote safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care practices
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
Delegate appropriate patient care activities and monitor quality of care delivery
Assist with staff development, education, and onboarding initiatives
Perform preceptor and charge nurse responsibilities as assigned
Support communication and information sharing among team members
Demonstrate leadership, professional accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting
Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
Nursing specialty certification preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
