    Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse – Med/Surg Tele – Winter Haven, FL

     

    A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse to join its Medical-Surgical/Telemetry team. This role is responsible for providing direct patient care while leading and supporting nursing staff to promote safe, high-quality, and patient-centered outcomes in an acute care environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards

    • Coordinate and oversee daily patient care activities and support efficient unit operations

    • Serve as a clinical resource and professional role model for nursing team members

    • Promote safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care practices

    • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care

    • Delegate appropriate patient care activities and monitor the quality of care delivery

    • Support staff development, education, and team engagement initiatives

    • Perform preceptor and charge nurse responsibilities as assigned

    • Facilitate communication and share organizational information with team members

    • Demonstrate leadership, professional accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

    • Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting

    • Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred

    • Nursing specialty certification preferred

    • Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
