About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within the Intake, Transfer, and Release (ITR) unit. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare to diverse patient populations within a correctional setting. The selected nurse will work exclusively within the ITR unit and will not be required to float to other facilities.

- 1 Day Shift WOC Opening
- Must commit to 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Minimum 13-week assignment

What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
- Monitor patient conditions, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Perform routine nursing procedures based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and address pharmacological requirements according to established protocols.
- Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and process patient documentation, care plans, and discharge plans.
- Provide health education and patient counseling.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist in orienting and training new employees, students, and contract staff.
Qualifications
Required
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or a participating Compact State.
- Current Primary Source Verification (PSV) through Nursys.
- Current N95 Respirator Fit Test documentation.
- Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience.
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a correctional healthcare environment.
