Description

A residential services organization in Queens, New York is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN )to provide medical oversight and nursing support in an OPWDD residential group home setting.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday
  • Hours: 10am to 6pm or 11am to 7pm
  • Setting: Residential facility

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and supervision of medical care for individuals supported in the residence
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing services and interventions to meet ongoing health care needs
  • Monitor and coordinate nursing activities to support continuity of medical care and services
  • Collaborate with physicians, residence leadership, and clinical staff to address medical needs and follow care plans
  • Develop, update, and oversee individualized nursing care plans, medication records, and related medical documentation

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of residential OPWDD experience
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience in a Group Home setting
  • Experience with G-tube and Tracheostomy Care

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with autistic young adults
