- Position Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 3 months
- Pay Rate: $44.66 $48.66 / Hour (USD)
- Shift / Schedule: Night Shift, 3x12 Hours, 19:00 7:30; Weekend coverage every other weekend (may vary based on need)

Job Summary
This position is a Registered Nurse role within a CARF Accredited rehabilitation hospital one of only a few such accredited rehab facilities in South Carolina. The facility holds accreditation in traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedics, and stroke. Patients must be able to complete 3 hours of therapy per day to qualify for the program. The unit is divided across 2 floors with 29 beds on the 2nd floor and 19 beds on the 3rd floor. Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients with diagnoses including Spinal Cord Injury, Amputee, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Stroke
- Utilize the Omnicell medication system for medication management
- Document patient care using EPIC electronic health records system
- Operate ARJO lift equipment including Maxi Move, Sara Plus, and Steady
- Support patients in meeting therapy participation requirements (3 hours of therapy per day)
- Collaborate with rapid response and code teams as needed within the connected level one trauma hospital system
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required in order to apply
- Minimum 1 year of experience in rehab specialty
- Proficiency with Omnicell medication system
- Ability to operate ARJO lift equipment (Maxi Move, Sara Plus, Steady)
- Familiarity with rehab patient populations including Spinal Cord Injury, Amputee, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Stroke
Education Requirements
- RN License South Carolina (SC) required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in rehab specialty required
- Unit will review first-time travelers based on experience
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Night shift position: 3x12 hours, 19:00 7:30
- Weekend coverage every other weekend; may vary based on need
- Flu vaccination required no exemptions
- COVID-19 vaccination: not required
- Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)
