    OVERVIEW

    The RN Quality Data Analyst facilitates quality assessment and improvement activities for the medical staff and health system quality initiatives. The RN Quality Data Analyst performs an assessment of data based on established criteria and participates at the organizational level in quality improvement initiatives. This role will

    Schedule: Monday-Friday

    Shift: Days

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reviews established criteria for data abstraction and understands how individual data elements relate to measures and outcomes
    • Identifies patients for inclusion in appropriate measures
    • Utilizes a variety of software applications for data collection and analysis
    • Responsible for the accurate and timely entry of data into software
    • Demonstrates reliability of data definitions and participates in data validation and inter-rater reliability testing
    • Understands workflow and clinical documentation in relation to data collected
    • Works with multiple departments to identify opportunities for improvement


    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

    BSN or upon hire BSN completion agreement for enrollment in an accredited BSN Completion Program.

    Five years of progressive experience in an acute care setting required. - Cardiology experience preferred

    Experience with Epic electronic medical record and documentation workflow preferred.

    Basic computer skills required - Knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.


    CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

    Licensed as an RN in state of practice
    Ability to complete all training modules and pass the NSQIP certification exam is required within 4 months of hire.


    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    May include color blind test (per department guidelines)
    Computer skills: Experience using the electronic medical record, internet and spreadsheet software is required.
    Reasoning ability: Ability to reason and deal with a variety of abstraction and concrete variables. This includes the ability to complete basic mathematical equations to calculate percentages and rates.
    Communication: Ability to read, analyze and interpret guidelines and effectively present information and respond to questions from multiple customers

    PAY RANGE:

    $37.29 - $55.94
