    About Our Transitional Care Unit: The Transitional Care Unit at Transylvania Regional Hospital offers a full therapeutic and skilled nursing program for patients who need additional support before returning home. Our small, family-oriented unit features 10 private Medicare-certified rooms , each equipped with a television, telephone, and private bathroom to ensure patient comfort and privacy. Our TCU provides comprehensive rehabilitative care , including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and skilled nursing services , designed to help patients regain strength, independence, and confidence following surgery, illness, or hospital stays. The team works collaboratively to create individualized care plans that promote recovery and smooth transitions back to home life. Job Summary and Qualifications Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions. What qualifications you will need: Education: Associate's Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Registered Nurse must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
