Pay & Benefits:

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to PICU patients with diagnoses such as MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, and post-operative spinal surgeries or neuro cases
  • Titrate medications including pressors, insulin, heparin, and sedation agents
  • Collect peripheral blood samples and coordinate line care (PIV, CVL)
  • Monitor patient status using telemetry and manage drains, wound vacs, and other equipment
  • Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, RTs, and the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Assist with patient education and support family-centered care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Adhere to hospital policies, including appropriate scrub attire and safety protocols

What You Need:
  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years PICU experience; cross-training and float capability preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; NRP preferred
  • Strong IV skills, ability to titrate medications, and perform wound care
  • Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR and Alaris pumps
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to unit needs

About the Assignment:
Join a leading hospital in City, State, offering a supportive, traveler-friendly environment with a dedicated team committed to your success. The unit typically maintains a 3-4 RN staff per shift, with a focus on family-oriented care and patient safety. The role includes working every other weekend and 2-3 holidays, with a flexible schedule including four days one week and three the next. Orientation includes hospital training plus two shifts on the unit.
