What You’ll Do
  • Provide high-quality care to PICU patients with conditions like MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, post-surgical neuro cases, and more
  • Titrate medications such as pressors, insulin, heparin, and sedation agents
  • Perform venipuncture, manage IV lines, drains, wound vacs, and other procedures
  • Respond to changing patient needs, adjusting care plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including hospitalists, intensivists, RTs, and resource nurses
  • Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR
  • Participate in weekend rotations, holiday coverage, and unit-specific training
  • Float to Adult ICU and Med/Tele units as needed
What You Need
  • Valid RN license in State
  • Minimum 2 years PICU experience; experience with adult ICU or Med/Tele preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (NRP preferred)
  • EKG competency exam clearance prior to start
  • Strong IV skills, telemetry experience, and ability to titrate medications
  • Ability to pass a compliance assessment
  • Good communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
About the Assignment
This NICU and ICU unit is family-oriented and traveler-friendly, emphasizing a supportive and collaborative culture. You’ll work on a 6-bed unit, with a focus on complex pediatric cases and occasional adult ICU support. The team is committed to providing excellent patient care and fostering professional growth.
