Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse - PCU and Make a Difference in Cardiac and Medical Stepdown Care!

We are actively recruiting for a highly skilled Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), where your expertise will directly impact patient recovery and well-being. What You’ll Bring:
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU RN experience, including cardiac stepdown and medical overflow cases
  • Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
  • Valid BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; LVAD certification preferred (especially for 2W Cardiac Stepdown)
  • Proficiency in titrating cardiac, insulin, and vasopressor drips, managing central lines, chest tubes, and ventilators
  • Strong assessment skills and ability to handle complex patient conditions such as respiratory failure, CVA, sepsis, post-op cardiac patients, and more
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support a diverse, multi-disciplinary team

Nice to Have:
  • LVAD certification
  • Additional advanced certifications and experience in telemetry or critical care
  • Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR and IV pump management
  • Ability to adapt to floating between units, including Medical Stepdown and MedSurg

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Active RN license in good standing
  • At least 2 years of acute care RN experience in a fast-paced setting
  • Experience working with cardiac and medical overflow patient populations

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work every other weekend, 4-day and 3-day work weeks, with rotations during major holidays
  • Ability to work on-site in a hospital setting with free parking
  • Must wear designated scrubs and badges in accordance with hospital policies
  • No on-call schedule; standard shift hours only
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and patient-centered care
