    Special Requirements: Our primary patients are those that have undergone bariatric surgery, urology cases (TURP or TURBT with CBI, Nephrectomy, Ileal conduit creation, nephroureterectomy), hepatobiliary (Whipple, liver resection, gastric stimulator, complex biliary cases), colorectal (colon resection, ostomy creation and takedown, surgical oncology), and trauma patients generally those with abdominal injury and also a lot of necrotizing soft tissues infections requiring serial debridement with Wound Vac changes. Skills REQ: MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Feeding tube care and management, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Epidural analgesia, PCA, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Wound Care/Wound Vac.

    Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks. The cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length to which the Contractor Personnel is assigned

    Our patients primary pain control post-operatively is via Epidural, PCA, Ketamine grip, and/or lidocaine infusion. Most urology patients will have CBI or long-term catheter (foley vs suprapubic). Many patients from all the surgical specialties will have numerous drains (foley, JP, IR drain, NG tube, Chest Tube, G-Tube, J-Tube, GJ- Tube) and frequently they will have Wound Vacs.
