Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Status: Part-Time (0.4 FTE)
Shift: Day Shift – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Schedule: Every Other Weekend Rotation
Pay: $45.00 per hour

Franciscan Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our long-term care team. As an RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, resident-centered nursing care while promoting the health, comfort, dignity, and well-being of our residents. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with residents and working collaboratively with a dedicated healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns to providers and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervise and support nursing assistants and other care staff to ensure quality resident care.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident status.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, infection prevention practices, and facility policies.
  • Participate in resident care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and positive environment for residents, families, and coworkers.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a team.
  • Long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
