Registered Nurse/PACU

The registered nurse provides individualized nursing care based on knowledge of basic competencies in the fundamentals of peri-anesthesia nursing and pharmacology. This care is applied to geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge. The position requires knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care, airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including doses, purpose, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications.

Requirements

• BLS (AHA)
• CA RN Licensure
• ACLS
• PALS
• 2 years PACU RN Experience Required, preferably in a high acute care hospital, ICU required
• Extensive cardiac/cath Lab experience preferred

Shift

4 x 10 days 9a - 12:30p start times; no weekends. Float required to other CPMC campuses if needed and census permits.
