Registered Nurse/Outpatient Surgery

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Need an RN to work in Outpatient Surgery in PreOp, PostOp, PACU; Specialties include: Retina surgery, total hip/knees, Hand surgery, breast oncology, breast reconstruction, ENT, Lap Chole, Hernia repairs, Podiatry; Must be willing to start IVS, familiar with conscious sedation, general and local anesthesia. Please Note: Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (ex 8hrs for 8 week assignment; 19hrs for 19 week assignment)Facility Name: Piedmont Augusta Hospital.

Schedule - (4) 9 hour shifts; Varied shifts ; 6-330, 6:30-4, 8-5:30 and 8:30-6

Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st Timers are accepted

Patient Population: Pediatrics to Geriatrics

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Floating: All divisions of Outpatient Surgery

Call Requirements: No; However, unit may expect RN to stay over based on the certain amount of rooms that have been finished called dots and double dots.
If you are dot , if there are 2 rooms after 3 , you have to stay until there is 1 room left .
If you are double dot , if there are 3 rooms after 3, you have to stay until 2 rooms are left.

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.


CLINICAL SCREEN - Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis.
