    Mondays- 7:15am-5:00pm

    Tuesdays- 7:15am-5:00pm

    Wednesday- 7:15am-5:00pm

    Thursdays- 7:15am-5:00pm

    Fridays- 7:15am-5:00pm

    Position Summary

    The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Oral Surgery department provides high-quality clinical care to patients undergoing surgical and sedation procedures. This role supports oral surgeons during procedures, ensures patient safety, and delivers pre- and post-operative care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

    Patient Care & Clinical Support

    • Prepare patients for oral surgery procedures, including reviewing medical history and obtaining vital signs
    • Administer medications, including IV sedation, in accordance with state regulations and provider orders
    • Monitor patients during procedures, including cardiac monitoring, oxygen saturation, and airway management
    • Assist oral surgeons chairside during surgical procedures

    Pre- and Post-Operative Care

    • Educate patients on procedure expectations, post-operative care, and recovery instructions
    • Provide discharge instructions and ensure patient understanding
    • Monitor recovery and respond to complications or adverse reactions

    Safety & Compliance

    • Maintain strict adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
    • Ensure emergency equipment and medications are readily available and up to date
    • Respond effectively to medical emergencies, including airway management and basic/advanced life support

    Coordination & Documentation

    • Accurately document patient care, medications, and procedures in the EMR system
    • Collaborate with oral surgeons, dental assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow
    • Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and medications

    Requirements

    Education:

    License/Certification:

    • BLS, ACLS and PALS Certification (Required)
    • Active Pennsylvania RN License (Required)

    Experience:

    • Nursing: 3 years (Preferred)
    • Prior experience in the Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is required.
