Job SummaryA Team Leader is a registered professional nurse who provides staff support, and works in conjunction with the Unit Manager and Unit Director. In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, the Team Leader works to improve patient care and experience through effective staff communication, observation, and measurement of specific interventions/practices and their associated outcomes. The Team Leader plays a pivotal role in fostering relationships with staff for retention, recruitment, mentoring, and patient and staff satisfaction. The Team Leader fosters teamwork and collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary team. The Team Leader plays a significant role in assisting the nurse manager in achieving clinical and financial goals along with management of human/material resources as delegated.
