Registered Nurse OR days

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. What You'll Do: Prepare operating rooms by ensuring availability and functionality of surgical instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.

What We Offer:

• Schedule: Full time day shift, 6:45A-7:15P (36 hours), 3 12's within window of M-F,  some call/ weekend call requirements. This will be discussed more in depth during interview.
• Department: Operating Room
• Location: Forsyth Medical Center, 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC.
• Unit Info: 17 OR rooms, 1:1 ratio, range of procedures.
• Requirements:  Prior operating room experience required for this position. 

What We're Looking For:

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring availability and functionality of surgical instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.
• Assist with room setup and maintain sterile fields according to established surgical and infection control standards.
• Function in scrub and/or circulator roles during surgical procedures
• Anticipate surgeon, anesthesia provider, and surgical team needs throughout procedures.
