Job Summary

The perioperative anesthesia RN is responsible for assessing, delegating, implementing, evaluating and coordinating anesthesia related patient care activities; serves as resource person for the Anesthesia Department, Perioperative Services, Endoscopy, Labor and Delivery, and Interventional Radiology; attends Anesthesia Department Meetings.

Required Qualifications

• Require a minimum of four (4) years of perioperative nursing experience in multiple surgical specialties and/or anesthesia.
• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.

Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer demonstrated clinical expertise, knowledge and skill in quality and process improvement activities.
• Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.

Required License and Certs

BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR

FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License

Preferred License and Certs

ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
