• Pay Rate: $46.66 $50.66 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 19:30)

Job Summary

This is a travel/contract Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele) nursing position providing care to patients with higher-acuity needs including higher oxygen demands, dialysis patients, AFib, and post-heart cath patients. The unit functions as a step-down from ICU (no vents or pressor support) and administers telemetry monitoring and select drips. Floating to other like units may be required if needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, AFib, and post-heart cath status
• Function within a step-down from ICU setting (no ventilators or pressor support)
• Administer and monitor drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Perform and monitor telemetry
• Provide weekend coverage every other weekend (may change based on need)
• Float to other like units as required

Required Skills

• Minimum 1 year of Epic (EHR) experience
• Experience with telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with step-down/intermediate care unit workflows

Education Requirements

• Active Tennessee (TN) RN License required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required

Required Experience

• At least 1 year of Epic experience required
• First-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Step-down unit caring for patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, AFib, and post-heart cath diagnoses
• No ventilator or pressor support required on this unit
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend; schedule may change based on unit need
• Floating to other like units may be required
• Flu vaccine required no exemptions
